How to Make Easy Place Cards

Hi Friends!

Friendsgiving is getting closer and closer which means I’m on a crafting rampage! Since this is my first time hosting a sit down dinner, I’m scrambling around getting everything together. Everything adds up so I’m determined to go cheap and DIY whenever I can. One of those things is place cards for my guests.

It really doesn’t matter where they sit but since I’ve been practicing my calligraphy a lot, I thought I’d make use of my skills.

This was so easy to put together that I’m not going to give you a step by step tutorial. And you probably already have these items around your home!

All I used was existing blank cards that I cut down to size but you can also use cardstock and fold it in half. For the gold dots I used some Martha Stewart bronze metallic paint that I had on hand and used the eraser end of a pencil to stamp. You can use any kind of paint or even a stamp pad for the dots. A glitter pen would also make a good alternative and having dots in different sizes would make them imperfectly perfect.

I wrote my name using my new loved calligraphy skills but you can also freehand names or print them from the computer. Lastly, I added washi tape to the bottom of the cards for extra flair.

I’m not fully committed to these, so they may change by the time Friendsgiving actually happens, but I’m still pleased with how they turned out.

Will you have place cards at your Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving dinner?
